Golden State Warriors wing Moses Moody injured his knee in grisly fashion during Monday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks attempting a dunk.

Moody planted his left knee on the hardwood, attempting a straightforward dunk in overtime against the Mavs, then crumbled without being touched. He needed to be helped off the floor on a stretcher.
Moody had missed the Warriors’ previous 10 games with a wrist sprain, and was playing with his wrist in a brace.
For a time, his return appeared worth the sacrifice; he moved into 10th place in the team’s all-time 3-pointers list early in the game.
Moody had 23 points on 8-of-20 shooting at the time of the injury. The Warriors lead 137-131 in overtime.
