Athletes across the Coastal Bend delivered standout performances to earn nominations for the Apple Dental Center High School Athlete of the Week.
On the diamond, one pitcher tossed a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts, while another hitter went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and four RBIs in a dominant outing.
In track and field, one athlete excelled across multiple meets, capturing first-place finishes in both hurdle events and the long jump while also contributing to a winning relay team.
In powerlifting, teams continued to make history at the state level, including a program that captured its first state title and another that secured an unequipped state championship with a gold-medal performance.

Emilee Holmes, Veterans Memorial softball — Holmes was a double shy of the cycle after going 2-for-4 with a home run, triple and four RBIs in a win against Alice.
Tyler Lang, Beeville baseball — Lang threw a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts in a key district contest against Port Lavaca Calhoun.
Benjamin Terry, Flour Bluff baseball — Terry went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and four RBIs in a district win against Carroll.
Robstown boys powerlifting team — The Robstown boys powerlifting team captured its first state powerlifting title in program history last week in Abilene.
Calallen boys powerlifting team — The Calallen boys powerlifting team captured the unequipped state title last week at the state meet.
Lovieann Vasquez Moody softball — Vasquez delivered a key performance for Moody after going 3-for-4 with an triple and five RBIs against King.
Logann Wood, Rockport-Fulton girls track and field — Wood excelled across two track meets, placing third in the long jump, first in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, and second in the 4×100 relay at the Toast of the Coast Relays. Wood went on to take gold in the long jump, 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles and 4×100 relay at the Beeville Relays.
