The Pittsburgh Pirates are going to give their home fans something to cheer about at the team’s 2026 home opener. The team will reportedly call up shortstop Konnor Griffin, considered the best prospect in baseball, prior to Friday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
The Pirates seemingly confirmed the news on X, tweeting out a video of Griffin with the phrase “Opening Debut.”
