Since the Raiders moved to Las Vegas six years ago, they have been atop the league in terms of their facilities. Their draft room, however, was not quite there yet. Until now.
During the pre-draft press conference, GM John Spytek gushed about the team’s all-new draft room as a big difference between last year — his first as Raiders GM — and this year.
“We’ve got some new faces in the draft room with us this year, and we’ve got a fancy new draft room too that I think it’s state-of-the-art,” Spytek said. “I think it’s the best in the NFL, I don’t think that’s don’t think that’s up for discussion. So, we’ve got to make sure that all the screens operate the right way. The magnets are a thing of the past for the Raiders now, and we were just out there discussing before we came down here, the right way to lay it out and get all the information up there. And so, that’s a process that we’re working through right now, but we’ll have that thing ready to rock Thursday.”
The Thursday he’s talking about is next week when the draft starts and the Raiders are the first team on the clock. And after Spytek’s glowing remarks, the team wanted to let everyone see just what he was talking about.

In the images you can see how the walls are covered in screens, allowing them to cast their draft boards or whatever else they like around the room while also being able to organize their board on the fly and the push of a button, rather than manually moving around magnets on white boards.
This, of course, does put them at the mercy of loading speeds and internet connections, but hopefully they have some analogue backups in case things go awry.
But this is certainly a sweet setup. As Spytek said, there’s no discussion that this is the best in the league, because it’s brand new, which means it is, by nature, the height of current technology. Quite a juxtoposition for a franchise that has long prided itself on being old school.
