Fox Sports clearly believes the Denver Broncos will be contenders this season.
The NFL’s broadcast partner recently ranked the Broncos as the No. 1 team in NFL power rankings, and Fox Sports analyst Henry McKenna has the club reaching the Super Bowl in his way-too-early playoff prediction.
In fact, McKenna has Denver not only reaching the Big Game, but winning it, defeating the San Francisco 49ers. After beating the Cincinnati Bengals 20-13 in the AFC Championship game, the Broncos defeat the Niners 29-28 in Super Bowl LXI in McKenna’s projection.
“[Sean] Payton gets his second Super Bowl victory,” McKenna wrote for Fox Sports. “And he does it by making [Bo] Nix look a little bit like Saints legend Drew Brees, including on the game-winning drive when the Broncos convert a two-pointer, rather than settling for a tie (and, likely, overtime).”
Fans in Denver would love to see that prediction come true. The Broncos will kick off their 2026 season on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, on Sept. 14, in Week 1 (view their full schedule).
