Quentin Bockhorn, Gig Harbor — Senior right-hander threw six scoreless innings in Saturday’s 6-0 win over Liberty in the Class 3A state opening round. Bockhorn allowed three hits, walked three and struck out seven.
Tyler Buol, Decatur — Junior right-hander threw a complete game to beat Snohomish, 2-1, in the Class 3A state quarterfinals on Saturday. Buol allowed four hits and one unearned run with no walks and seven strikeouts across seven innings.
Reece Colbert, Charles Wright-Life Christian Academies — The senior right-hander’s complete game (7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 8 K) guided CWA-LCA over Cedar Park Christian, 4-1, in the Class 1A state opening round on Saturday. Colbert, the leadoff hitter, added two singles at the plate (2-for-3).
Xander Cypher, Sumner — Senior INF/P went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI in Sumner’s 9-2 win over Kennedy Catholic in the Class 4A state quarterfinals on Saturday. Cypher earned the save on the mound, tossing 0.2 scoreless innings (1 H).
Mattson Ducharme, Fife — Senior first baseman went 2-for-2 with a walk and three RBI in a 7-5 win over Lynden in the Class 2A state opening round on Saturday.
Ethan Flavel, Decatur — The junior third baseman’s grand slam powered Decatur’s 8-6 win over Shorewood in the Class 3A state opening round on Saturday. Flavel went 2-for-4 with four RBI and threw 2.2 solid innings, allowing two hits and one run with a pair of strikeouts.
Connor Hardy, Olympia — Junior catcher hit two doubles (2-for-3) and drove in five runs, powering Olympia’s 15-5 win over Woodinville in the Class 4A state opening round on Saturday.
Tanner Hebel, Orting — Senior catcher went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Saturday’s 5-1 win over West Valley in the Class 2A state opening round.
Matthew Ledbetter, Kentlake — Senior right-hander threw five strong innings (4 H, 4 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 5 K) and went 2-for-5 with an RBI at the plate in Saturday’s 7-4 win over Gig Harbor in the Class 3A state quarterfinals.
Harvey Lieberman, Kennedy Catholic — The senior left-hander’s complete game and 3-for-4 performance at the plate (2B, 3B, 2 RBI) powered Kennedy Catholic’s 4-2 win over Glacier Peak in the Class 4A state opening round on Saturday. Lieberman allowed seven hits and two earned runs across seven innings, striking out eight without issuing a walk.
Jayden Mayfield, Orting — Junior right-hander struck out 11 across a five-inning complete game (2 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 3 BB) in Saturday’s 14-3 win over Sehome in the Class 2A state quarterfinals.
Christopher Moore, Kentlake — The senior right-hander’s complete-game shutout lifted Kentlake over Southridge, 3-1, in the Class 3A state opening round on Saturday. Moore allowed five hits and one earned run across seven innings, striking out seven without issuing a walk. The UW commit added three hits in Saturday’s 7-4 win over Gig Harbor in the state quarterfinals.
Luke Overbay, Tumwater — The junior right-hander’s complete-game one-hitter (7 IP, 0 R, 2 BB, 8 K) powered Tumwater’s 5-0 win over Nathan Hale in the Class 2A state quarterfinals on Saturday.
Landen Parker, Decatur — The leadoff catcher’s walk-off single in the seventh inning lifted Decatur over Snohomish, 2-1, in the Class 3A state quarterfinals on Saturday. Parker went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Wyatt Plyler, Sumner — The junior right-hander’s 5.2 shutout innings (2 H, 3 BB, 13 K) lifted Sumner over Moses Lake, 7-0, in the Class 4A state opening round on Saturday. At the plate, Plyler went 2-for-2 with a walk, double, and three RBI.
Craig Sale, Curtis — Freshman third baseman scored three runs and went 2-for-4 with a double in Saturday’s 8-2 win over West Valley in the Class 4A state quarterfinals.
Brody Santman, Sumner — Sophomore left-hander earned the win over Kennedy Catholic, 9-2, in Saturday’s Class 4A state quarterfinals. Santman threw 6.1 strong innings (4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 5 K) and went 1-for-2 with two walks at the plate.
Gabe Schrader, Orting — The senior right-hander’s complete game (7 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 1 K) guided Orting over West Valley, 5-1, in the Class 2A state opening round on Saturday.
Johnny Turner, Orting — Senior designated hitter hit two doubles and drove in three runs, going 3-for-3 with a walk and three RBI in Saturday’s 14-3 win over Sehome in the Class 2A state quarterfinals.
Jimmy Womach, Tumwater — Senior right-hander threw six scoreless innings (2 H, 1 BB, 8 K) and went 1-for-3 with an RBI single in Tumwater’s 7-0 win over Port Angeles in the Class 2A state opening round on Saturday.
