As the 2026 Iowa football season swiftly approaches, fourth-year lineman Kade Pieper has earned his latest bit of preseason pub. Pieper was named to On3’s preseason All-America team.
The 6-foot-3, 298-pound lineman is a preseason first-team All-America selection. Pieper is the lone Hawkeye to garner preseason first-, second-, or third-team All-America status from On3.
Pieper joins a group of first-team All-America offensive lineman that includes Indiana offensive tackle Carter Smith, Cincinnati guard Evan Tengesdahl, Houston guard Shadre Hurst and Texas offensive tackle Trevor Goosby.

Here is what On3 had to say about Pieper:
“The Hawkeyes breed rugged centers. Pieper is moving from right guard to center in 2026 to replace Logan Jones, one of two former Hawkeyes to win the Rimington Trophy as the top center in the country over the past five seasons. The 6-3, 300-pound Pieper could be the third in the past six seasons. He was a cornerstone of an Iowa offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award last season and has the strength, athleticism and technique to make him a natural wherever he lines up in the offensive line. Pieper was called for just one penalty last season.” – Chris Low, On3
As Iowa looks to continue its dominant offensive line play into the 2026 season, Pieper will once again be a critical piece towards the Hawkeyes’ success this season as they hope to qualify for the program’s first College Football Playoff appearance.
