The waiting is over, as the Dallas Cowboys have set their initial 53-man roster. There were a handful of surprises on each side of the ball. On offense, the team decided to carry just three running backs but went with six wide receivers, including the preseason darling, UDFA Camden Brown.
On defense, the club stashed their fourth-round pick Devin Moore, and went with a limited number of linebackers while keeping six safeties. That leads to many questions about who the club will try and bring back to the practice squad.
It’s almost impossible to look around the waiver wire and veteran releases from all 31 clubs and find targets; there were over 1,000 players released between Friday and Sunday, when the deadling to get down to 53 players expired. So here, we’ll create a practice squad based on who was in camp with Dallas.
