The lights at TDECU Stadium briefly went out with less than two minutes left in the first half of Saturday’s game between the University of Houston and Southern.
After a brief delay, game officials opted to continue the game in semi-dark conditions as the sun began to set around 7:32 p.m.
The scoreboard and video ribbons around the stadium continued to function.
Power was restored shortly thereafter. The outage was due to a power surge, per school officials.
