Fresh off picking up its first win of the season, Sam Houston kicks off a stretch of five consecutive national TV games Saturday in Lubbock.
The Bearkats (1-2), who routed Nicholls 59-0 last week, visit No. 11 Texas Tech, which survived a battle with Houston that came down to stopping a late 2-point conversion attempt.
The teams have played twice before with Texas Tech winning both games in Lubbock, most recently in 2015 led by Patrick Mahomes.
