Jake Paul’s MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] has finally addressed boxing legend Heather Hardy’s $10 million lawsuit. Hardy, 44, suffered several injuries throughout her career but finished her professional career with a loss against Amanda Serrano.
The Heather-Serrano fight co-main evented the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas in 2023. Hardy was beaten by Serrano in 2019, and the same outcome was repeated four years later.
However, Hardy recently initiated a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of Northern Texas, citing alleged violations of the Muhammad Ali Reform Act due to negligence. She claimed that the organisers ignored potential red flags during her fight and ensured the energetic fight advanced. She further suggested that the fight gave her a career-ending brain injury. She also noted that she suffered “permanent brain injury” during the loss.

Now, in a recent statement to ESPN, Jake Paul’s MVP has broken their silence on the matter. “MVP has great respect for Heather Hardy. We recognize the difficulty of her circumstances and extend our sincere sympathy and hope that she receives the care and support she deserves.
“Heather’s participation on our August 5, 2023 card was arranged through her promoter, Lou DiBella, who contracted for the fight, and Heather publicly expressed her gratitude for the opportunity both before and after the fight,” quotes available as per ESPN.
“MVP followed applicable protocols for the fight, Heather was medically cleared to compete by the athletic commission overseeing the event, and the bout proceeded under the commission’s authority and supervision in accordance with their standard medical and safety requirements. MVP remains committed to fighter safety and supporting the athletes who compete in our events in full compliance with commission standards.”
A women’s boxing legend, Hardy has fought around 27 professional boxing matches, where she secured a total of 24 wins and three losses. A former pro-boxer, Hardy has also participated in MMA events, namely for Bellator.
