Vernon received the No. 1 seed in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament. Defending champion Sparta, who beat the Vikings in last year’s final, is the No. 2 seed. Both received double byes into the quarterfinals.
Teams seeded No. 3 to No. 9 received first-round byes.
The first round will be played on Oct. 3, followed by the second round on Oct. 6. Quarterfinals will be Oct. 13 with semifinals on Oct. 17.
All matches will be hosted by the better seed.
The final will be at at 11 a.m. Oct. 24 at Warren Hills, followed by the boys championship.
