A lot of excitement in Northeast Ohio for the Cleveland Browns versus Pittsburgh Steelers, playing for the AFC North lead on Thursday Night Football. The Browns started with the ball after kickoff, but went three-and-out. A very good Corey Bojorquez punt pushed the Steelers back, but QB Aaron Rodgers picked apart Cleveland’s defense in front of a raucous crowd at Huntington Bank Field.
With Pittsburgh’s offense just past midfield, DT Mason Graham was injured. The star defender was engaged with a blocker when another lineman fell on his leg late in the play. Graham stayed on the ground before being helped to the medical tent with a noticeable limp.
In three games, Graham has four sacks so far this season, along with 15 tackles, six tackles for loss, and five quarterback hits.
Graham walked off the field gingerly along with the training staff after a short time in the injury tent:
Graham reportedly had an X-ray back in the locker room, and another video showed him wincing in pain while walking on his way off the field.
Late in the first half, DT Mike Hall Jr. joined Graham with what looked like a knee injury when DE Jared Verse was blocked into his right knee. Hall was helped off the field by multiple trainers, putting no weight on his right leg.
Hall was then carted off the field.
We will continue to update Graham and Hall’s injury statuses as information becomes available.
