The Commanders have elevated running back Craig Reynolds and linebacker Ale Kaho from the practice squad for Sunday’s Week 4 contest against the Indianapolis Colts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, the team announced on Saturday.
These two will provide key depth at areas depleted by injury. While the Commanders linebacker corps is getting Frankie Luvu back from a groin injury, Leo Chenal (neck) and Jordan Magee (hamstring) are on injured reserve without an active roster addition at linebacker for either player.
Luvu and Sonny Styles are expected to start and play most every down, with Kain Medrano and Kaho in reserve and as important special teams players.
Rachaad White is out with a shoulder issue, so Reynolds could end up playing an larger role on passing downs especially. The Commanders have Bill Croskey-Merritt and Kaytron Allen healthy and ready to go. There’s more uncertainty surrounding recent re-signing Austin Ekeler, who could be active but is just days into learning a new offensive system.
In other Week 4 related injury news, the Colts have downgraded receiver Keenan Allen to OUT of Sunday’s game.
