TAMPA, FL − The 1-2 Green Bay Packers will have a new-look offensive line, once again, for their Week 4 road game against the 0-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Packers ruled out starting guards Aaron Banks (knee/toe) and Jacob Monk (quadricep).
Banks has been dealing with knee and toe injuries all season and will miss this third game of the season. The left guard has been available only for the Week 2 game against the New York Jets, but played only in the first half.
Monk has started all three games at right guard, but a quadricep injury forced him out of practice all week.
The Packers signed three veteran offensive linemen: Wisconsin native Kevin Zeitler and Laken Tomlinson to the active roster, and Mekhi Becton to the practice squad. All three participated in practice this week.
Zeitler will not play in this game, so the Packers could use Tomlinson at guard, as well as Jager Burton or Donovan Jennings.
The Packers ruled out four players.
Edgerrin Cooper (concussion) is out of concussion protocol and will play.
Here’s a complete look at the inactives:
Packers inactives
The Packers officially rule out Banks (knee/toe), Monk (quad), Zeitler and Anthony Campbell (ankle).
Warren Brinson (calf/groin) has been out all season after injuring his calf in preseason, then suffered a groin injury in his first practice back on Sept. 30.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Brinson will be out for a “significant amount of time.” He was placed on injured reserve Oct. 3.
Buccaneers inactives
The Bucs are without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield, who dislocated the thumb on his throwing hand last week. Mayfield’s absence means undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels will start behind center.
Rookie edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr., the 15th pick in this spring’s draft, was ruled out with groin and shoulder injuries. Also inactive for Tampa Bay is Wisconsin native Billy Schrauth.
Starting cornerback Jacob Parrish is active after being listed as questionable because of a personal reason during the week.
