Oregon State football is witnessing wide receiver Jesse LeGree ignite new enthusiasm in Corvallis. Including firing off sudden Heisman Trophy chatter off his uncanny receiving marks. Now he’s added an insane 90-yard touchdown against Washington State.
The freshman turned to his uncanny jets and left Cougar defenders watching the back of his jersey and cleats. He fired up the crowd in Corvallis through this soul-snatching touchdown.

But LeGree wasn’t through with shredding Wazzu. Even with a shorter field to work with. He grabbed this red zone catch and still blazed his speed afterward.

LeGree entered this Pac-12 showdown with six straight 100-yard games in tow. Now he’s added a seventh, catching six passes for 103 yards and scoring twice before the fourth quarter.
The 2026 college football season has witnessed dominating wide receiver play. But the conversation mostly has focused on Ohio State star and past national champion Jeremiah Smith as a Heisman contender. Miami Hurricanes star Malachi Toney rises as one more garnering the same type of hype. Except quarterback teammate Darian Mensah has also sparked his own chatter for the coveted individual award.
But LeGree is showing the CFB world that dominating wideout play exists out west too. Especially in a long, forgotten former power conference in the Pac-12. Oregon State once produced renown wideout names Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and TJ Houshmandzadeh during the late 1990s/early 2000s, including starring for the Beavers’ 2000 Fiesta Bowl winners.
Now new head coach JaMarcus Shephard has unleashed the nation’s hottest wide receiver. One who was once a three-star prospect but is fueling renewed energy in the “Beaver Dam.”
