The final week of the 2026 Ohio high school football regular season has arrived, and the battles for league championships and playoff berths and positioning have reached their final stage.
Akron-area teams will play in 22 games this weekend, with 19 games Friday, Oct. 23, and three City Series games Saturday, Oct. 24. Friday’s top Week 10 games include Highland (8-1, 6-0) playing at Hudson (7-2, 4-2) with a chance to clinch the Suburban League National Conference title; Wadsworth (8-1, 5-1), coming off its first regular-season loss in 19 games, hosting Nordonia (8-1, 5-1) and needing a win to earn a first-round playoff bye; Manchester (5-4, 4-1) playing at Northwest (7-2, 3-2) with a chance to clinch a playoff spot and wrap up at least a tie for the Principals Athletic Conference crown; and Revere (6-3) playing at Brecksville (5-4) with a chance to earn a playoff berth.
