Injured Italian alpine skiing star Federica Brignone has started recreational skiing and completed light runs as she recovers from a serious injury, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) said in a statement on Wednesday. Brignone won the overall World Cup for the second time last season before suffering tibia and fibula fractures as well as a ruptured cruciate knee ligament in a crash at the national championships in early April.
