Andrew McCutchen is 30th player in Rangers history to choose this jersey number

Andrew McCutchen is in a different uniform this season, and it’ll look a little bit weird, for sure.

The Pittsburgh Pirates legend now plays for the Texas Rangers. He’s hoping to prove that he’s still got some juice left in the tank.

After a strong Spring Training, there’s certainly reason to believe that McCutchen really does have some hits left in that bat.

He’s also going to have a new jersey number. Classically, McCutchen wore the number 22 with the Pirates.

With the Rangers, he’s going to wear the number 4.

McCutchen will become the 30th Rangers player to rock the number 4 in franchise history.

Not a lot of difference makers on that list, really, but some fun names from Rangers franchise history.

Interestingly, McCutchen takes 4 from Joc Pederson as he pretty much takes over the same DH role for this season.
