Micah Potter kept the intrigue going until just before tip-off, even wearing neutral colored shoes for pre-game warm-ups. When the Pacers center took the floor to start Sunday’s game, however, he was wearing blue sneakers, indicating that he and his wife Elle will be having a baby boy in September.
Potter posted on his Instagram on Saturday a picture of blue and pink Nikes, saying that he would use them for a gender reveal in Sunday’s game. It was fitting on a few levels. For one thing, it was Easter Sunday and both he and Elle are devout Christians. Also, Potter grew up in Mentor, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, so many of his friends and family were set to attend the game.
