Tennessee (20-12, 4-8 SEC) enters Week 9 of the 2026 baseball season and fifth week in Southeastern Conference play.
In SEC play, the Vols have lost series at Georgia (2-1), at Vanderbilt (3-0) and versus LSU (2-1), while winning a home series against Missouri (2-1).
Tennessee will next play on Tuesday against Northern Kentucky. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EDT at Lindsey Nelson Stadium (SEC Network+). The Vols will also play at Mississippi State for a three-game SEC series in Week 9.
“We just need to be better in all facets and we got a chance to do it starting on Tuesday,” first-year Tennessee head coach Josh Elander said after Sunday’s series finale against LSU.
