Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski is ready for whatever happens in their upcoming series against the Toronto Blue Jays.
In a recent interview with Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA, Wrobleski said he is looking forward to the matchup and is ready for whatever the team and its fans throw his way.
“It’s gonna be great,” Wrobleski said. “They’re gonna boo me and it’s gonna be really awesome. That’s what makes sports great, I think. If I were a Toronto fan, I probably wouldn’t like me either. So I completely understand.”

Wrobleski was at center stage for one of the many great moments in last year’s World Series. The left-handed pitcher was involved in a brawl during Game 7 last year after hitting Andrés Giménez of the Blue Jays in the hand during the fourth inning of the season finale.
The benches cleared after Wrobleski and Giménez exchanged words. Following the Dodgers’ win, Wrobleski addressed the incident and explained how he saw the confrontation unfold from his perspective.
“I wasn’t trying to [hit him],” Wrobleski said. “He tried to get hit by the pitch before and then he got hit. Then he talked to me. I said come see me and he didn’t. Whatever.”
The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to face the Blue Jays in a three-game series beginning Monday at the same venue where they were crowned champions in November.
That matchup was a heated, high-intensity battle that is widely regarded as one of the greatest World Series showdowns of all time.
Wrobleski is slated to start on Monday against Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Max Scherzer.
