Which teams are out of IPL 2026 playoff contention?
As of May 16, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants have been eliminated from playoff contention.
LSG lost their 11th match of the season against CSK on Sunday, May 9, a few hours before MI fell to RCB. MI and LSG have garnered only 6 points from 11 matches, ending their hopes of progressing in the tournament.
One of the most decorated teams, CSK, are also battling for survival after losing to LSG by seven wickets on Friday, May 15.
