Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate is set to leave the club on a free transfer this summer, after failing to agree a new deal with the club.
According to talkSPORT, Konate has not been able to agree a new contract with the Reds, and will follow Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah out of the club.
There has been speculation for months linking him with Real Madrid, but their likely new manager Jose Mourinho is yet to walk through the door and make his own assessment of the squad.
Konate has made 183 appearances for Liverpool, and started 36 league games this season. His performance levels noticeably dropped however, which will no doubt be part of the reason he has been allowed to leave for free.
The Frenchman is in his country’s squad for the World Cup this summer.
