Tennessee basketball and NC State will play at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 6 in Nashville during the 2026-27 season.
It will be part of a doubleheader that also features Georgia Tech against Murray State.
Game time and TV information has not been announced.
Former UT assistant coach Justin Gainey was hired by NC State after the season ended. He served as an associate coach for the Vols from 2022-26 and an assistant coach from 2021-22.
Tennessee is 5-7 against NC State in a series that dates back to March 1, 1929, when the Wolfpack claimed a 48-32 win in Atlanta in the Southern Conference Tournament. UT has won the last four neutral-site contests and the last two overall.
The Vols played a neutral site game last December at Bridgestone Arena, losing to Illinois.
Team and venue pre-sale tickets go on sale June 3-4. Tickets to the public will be available June 5 at 10 a.m.
The all-time series between Murray State and Georgia Tech is 1-1 with the last meeting in 1956. Murray State won 77-66 at home in 1954.
Tennessee’s schedule continues to unfold for the 2026-27 season. The Vols’ revealed non-conference opponents include a home game against Michigan State, at Purdue, and the Players Era opener in Las Vegas against Maryland on Nov. 24. They also have an unnamed opponent in the ACC-SEC challenge.
