The Alabama Crimson Tide took care of business in the opening round of the Women’s College World Series, beating UCLA 6-3 Thursday evening in Oklahoma City.
The Tide, who ended the 2026 season with a 53-7 record, caught fire at the right points of the game, including a 3-run homer by Brooke Wells. That gave Alabama a 3-run lead going into the seventh inning, putting the Bruins’ backs against the wall.
