Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is live THIS MORNING (Sat., Aug. 1, 2026)with UFC Belgrade, streaming live online via Paramount+. The event happens inside Beogradska Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. This is the promotion’s first-ever trip to the Balkans. Uros Medic vs. Daniel Rodriguez serves as our main event today.
UFC Belgrade Preview
Medic — from nearby Novi Sad, Serbia — gets his first UFC main event slot here. He’s earned it with blistering finishes over Geoff Neal (see that here), Muslim Salikhov (that one here) and Gilbert Urbina (re-live that here). The combined time of those fights is less than four minutes. Rodriguez, meanwhile, is coming off a grueling win over Kevin Holland; however, he’s been held out for sometime because of legal issues (which saw him stuck in a Mexican jail for eight months).
The co-main event is Jan Blachowicz vs. Navajo Stirling. Blachowicz was scheduled to face Bogdan Guskov, before Guskov was needed in Abi Dhabi last weekend. Stirling comes in on short notice, just a month removed from his win over Ion Cutelaba.
The rest of the main card is a “Balkans vs. The World” theme with Aleksandar Rakic vs. Marcin Tybura, Dusko Todorovic vs. Robert Valentin, Vlasto Cepo vs. Gilbert Urbina and Milos Janicic vs. Noah Gugnon.
The “Prelims” are headlined by Ludovit Klein vs. Tofiq Musayev. Mateusz Rebecki (a walking “Fight of the Night”) also makes an appearance. He’s facing Kyle Prepolec. Other notable fights on the undercard include Oban Elliott vs. Michael Oliveira and Bogdan Grad vs. Dennis Buzukja.

UFC BELGRADE PLAY-BY-PLAY UPDATES
Main Card
Gilbert Urbina vs. Vlasto Cepo
Round 1: Cepo came out swinging and he had Urbina backing up against the fence. Urbina withstood the pressure, though, and dropped Cepo with a counter shot. He then got on top and blew Cepo away with ground and pound. You can hear a pin drop in the arena now.

Milos Janicic vs. Noah Gugnon
Round 1: Gugnon tapped Janicic’s lead leg right off the bat and Janicic was limping immediately. Gugnon tapped it once or twice more and then hurt the other leg to send Jancic down. Gugnon then jumped on top, passed guard, took the back and locked up the rear naked choke for the quick win.

Prelims
Ludovit Klein vs. Tofiq Musayev: Musayev targeted Klein’s legs early (one of which was injured in his last fight). After chopping away with leg kicks in the third round, Musayev started to go upstairs. Both men landed hard shots, but Musayev hurt Klein to the body and then put him down with a big right hook. Musayev then swarmed and forced the stoppage on the feet.

Oban Elliott vs. Michael Oliveira: Oliveira might be a problem. He hurt Elliott with every shot he landed. And he ended things with ground and pound, while crawling after Elliott who was desperately trying to squirm to safety.

Mark Vologdin vs. Borislav Nikolic: Nikolic came out running and gunning and walked right into a Vologdin punch. That looked like a sign of how things might go in this fight, but despite all his wildness Nikolic managed to land a lot of shots on Vologdin. That hurt him and also caused a lot of damage on his eye. In the third, Nikolic managed to ride a Vologdin takedown and get on top. From there he landed some brutal ground and pound. Vologdin managed to get up, but he didn’t know where he was. He shot and Nikollic stuffed it and was able to land hard elbows and then a tight choke attempt as time ran out. I scored that last one a 10-8 for Nikolic.

Bogdan Grad vs. Dennis Buzukja: This was the first competitive fight of the night. Grad was leading the way throughout, though. He managed to ground Buzukja in the first and spend some good time on top landing ground and pound. Buzukja showed more life in the second and there were some good exchanges on the feet. Grad was eventually able to get him down again, though, and get in on a good arm triangle position. The end came when Jason Herzog called it off due to a tap. Though Buzukja protested immediately, saying he wasn’t tapping. I feel bad for Buzukja, but what he was doing looked enough like a tap that it’s hard to blame the referee for stopping it. The crowd got another chance to cheer with this one, they booed Buzukja mercilessly over his Albanian heritage. That’s pretty ugly if you know the history of the region.

Mateusz Rebecki vs. Kyle Prepolec: We didn’t get a Fight of the Night, but that was a very solid win for Rebecki (and he didn’t have to take years off his life to get it!). He and Prepolec traded early, but Rebecki then went to his wrestling (for a change) and just poured on the ground and pound. Rebecki was relentless with those and Prepolec could only cover up and not fight back. The referee gave him plenty of chances, but he had to call it after a hundred or so unanswered shots.

Nina Milosevic vs. Hailey Cowan: Milosevic did what was expected of her, by boxing up Cowan. She looked patient and very technical in there as she targeted the body. After hurting Cowan with a straight punch to the solar plexis, she followed up with a second to put her down and win the fight. Cowan probably gets her walking papers off that one. Milosevic looks like an interesting prospect at Bantamweight.

Jovan Leka vs. Alexander Poppeck: The Serbian crowd got what they came here for. Leka stalked down Poppeck, a Light Heavyweight in Heavyweight clothing, and nailed him with a liver kick to send him down. Leka looked good, but we need to see him fight an actual Heavyweight now.

Marina Spasic vs. Stephanie Luciano: Spasic showed a little something on the feet, but Luciano was able to answer all of that. When Luciano shot, Spasic had no answers for her. Luciano then quickly got the rear naked choke, as if she was teaching a seminar.
