Class of 2027 four-star wide receiver Antayvious Ellis decommitted from the program on Wednesday evening. This was reported by multiple media outlets.
Ellis is a three-star recruit. He is the 707th overall player nationally, the 95th overall wide receiver, and the sixth overall player in the class from the state of Nebraska, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He committed to the program in November 2025.
Ellis also had offers from Texas, Texas A&M, and SMU. He transferred to Nebraska before the 2026 high school season to be closer to the program.
Currently, the 2027 Nebraska recruiting class ranks 18th in the country with 21 commitments, per the Rivals Team Rankings. The class is still strong despite the departure, and the Huskers still have a solid class to build from.
Ellis was considered a key piece of this 2027 class, and it will be interesting to see if Nebraska can fill the void left by his departure.
