A former Spartans star was just that in his debut for his new NFL team.
Former Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III was the star of the show on Monday Night Football, leading the Kansas City Chiefs to an impressive season-opening win over the Denver Broncos this week. Walker was making his debut for the Chiefs after signing with the organization as a free agent this past offseason.
Walker finished the game with 23 carries for 173 yards and one touchdown. His touchdown score was from 60 yards out and pushed the Chiefs up by two scores en route to their 21-point win. He also had three receptions for 18 yards and another touchdown.
Walker is in his fifth season in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl with the Seahawks this past year. He appears destined to continue where he left off last year with the Chiefs, which will surely make them a dangerous team in the AFC this upcoming season.
