The Steelers will try to win their first road game of the 2026 season without two key contributors.
Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (conditioning/back) are both listed as out on the team’s final injury report ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Patriots.
Pittman had three receptions for 58 yards in Pittsburgh’s Week 1 win. With the veteran stuck on the sideline, young receivers Germie Bernard and Roman Wilson should have more opportunities to stretch the field.
Porter is considering getting a second opinion on his back injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who reported that Porter’s back “flared up” when he tried to go full speed in practice. The Steelers are planning for Porter to potentially return in Week 3, per Schefter.
