Fans who enter Neyland Stadium early enough before Tennessee football‘s game against Texas will have access to half-price concessions.
Tennessee announced that all concessions inside the stadium, including alcohol, will be 50% off from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. before the No. 13 Vols (3-0) kick off against No. 1 Texas (3-0) at noon on Sept. 26.
The promotion is meant to encourage fans to arrive early because President Donald Trump will attend the game and enhanced security could make for longer-than-usual wait times to enter. Gates will open at 9 a.m., an hour earlier than usual for a noon start.
For that first hour, fans can enjoy slashed prices and avoid lengthy entry lines outside the venue that are expected to grow as kickoff approaches.
UT encouraged ticketed attendees to arrive “significantly” earlier than they would for a typical game since Secret Service Police will be conducting enhanced security screen at all stadium gates. Fans should also anticipate additional security checkpoints and verification procedures in areas surrounding the stadium.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” pregame show will also air from outside Ayres Hall from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. before moving inside Neyland Stadium for the final hour, when celebrity guest picker Johnny Knoxville will make his appearance.
