Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson is a fantasy football player to add for Week 4, with a potential larger role creating upside for him against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Wilson has had a role in Seattle’s offensive backfield despite Jadarian Price being the team’s go-to running back and George Holani getting situational carries of his own. Ahead of the Week 4 matchup, Wilson is a player who carries value due in large part to Price’s status for the game.
Jadarian Price did not practice Thursday because of a chest injury, after being limited Wednesday. The development places his availability in question for Week 4 and may open up additional carries for Wilson, which may allow him to play the way that he did in Week 2, whether Price sits altogether or sees a limited workload.
Wilson recorded 21 carries for 92 yards in Week 2 in a win over the Arizona Cardinals. That performance showed that he is capable of handling lead-back volume when called upon. Wilson has carried the ball 32 times for 109 yards through three games played thus far this season.
His running style and demonstrated capacity for a sizable workload make him an appealing waiver-wire target for fantasy football team managers needing depth or a possible flex starter.
The Chargers have allowed 349 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns to opponents through three games. The matchup gives Wilson a favorable path to meaningful touches and production if Price is limited or unavailable.
