Misfits Boxing returns with its latest collection of crossover bouts and combat sports oddities this Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Copper Box Arena in London, England.
British reality TV star Joey Essex returns to the ring to face comedian Dapper Laughs in the main event, while famed MMA coach Plinio Cruz faces Gary Olive in the co-featured bout. Essex (1-0) made his boxing debut under the Misfits banner in August 2025, defeating Portuguese influencer Numeiro by majority decision. Dapper Laughs (1-0), whose real name is Daniel O’Reilly, likewise made his promotional debut in 2023, stopping fellow social media personality Simple Simon.
Saturday’s card underwent a significant change Monday when Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor withdrew from his scheduled co-headliner against Cruz due to injury. DeMoor’s coach, Olive, instead steps in on short notice and is now set to welcome Cruz, the longtime coach of former UFC two-division champion Alex Pereira.
