On Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, President Donald Trump traveled to Baltimore to speak at the new Navy shipbuilding facility, meeting with NFL players while also giving Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and his mom a shoutout.
Several Ravens players, including Marlon Humphrey, Tyler Loop, Ryan Eckley, and long snapper Nick Moore—whom the president thought was a coach—were there. Trump shouted them out, calling them “big stars” and “good-looking guys,” saying, “Oh ho ho, these guys are making a lot of money. They’re doing very well.”
He then mentioned Jackson, who is currently nursing an ankle injury. The president also mentioned Jackson’s mother, Felicia Jones, whom he met several times in Palm Beach.

“Say hello to your quarterback. He’s a little bit injured. Tell him I know his mother; I met his mother a few times in Palm Beach, and she’s a fantastic, beautiful woman, but give him my regards,” Trump raved. “He is some player.”
The Ravens have won two in a row after starting 1-1 following a loss to the New Orleans Saints. They first beat the Dallas Cowboys in Brazil before beating the Tennessee Titans in Week 4.
Jackson suffered an injury in the Week 4 win. Before he left the game, he had 222 passing yards and two touchdowns. He had also rushed for 20 yards.
Luckily, Tyler Huntley, who has spent six of his seven years in the NFL with the Ravens, has plenty of experience. He came in and completed eight of his nine passes for 63 yards.
The Ravens will now play the Atlanta Falcons, the Cleveland Browns, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Buffalo Bills, and the Jacksonville Jaguars in the coming weeks. It will be a tough stretch, but they are currently tied for first place in the AFC North with the Browns. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Bengals are both 2-2 and tied for third place in the division.
