MILLERSBURG — In Friday evening’s (Oct. 9) Ohio Cardinal Conference matchup with Ashland, there wasn’t really anything you could fault West Holmes for in its first half display.
Let’s take out really.
There wasn’t anything at all. The Knights’ play in the first half was seemingly flawless.
“That was easily out best half of football we’ve put together,” West Holmes quarterback Brayden Parsons said.
That flawlessness West Holmes (6-2, 4-1) exhibited in the first half was the main storyline in the Knights’ 42-21 home victory over Ashland (4-4, 1-4). The same Ashland squad that handed West Holmes a 40-7 defeat last season.
“As far as the first half, that’s probably the best half of football I’ve probably been a part of in 10 years,” West Holmes head coach Keaton Leppla said.
