OXFORD — After a chaotic day across college football, Ole Miss football has climbed in the polls.
The Rebels are No. 7 in the US LBM Coaches Poll released Oct. 18. That’s up from the No. 10 ranking the Rebels had entering the week.
The Rebels (5-1, 3-1 SEC) earned a decisive win over Missouri on Oct. 17. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss threw for 241 yards and scored for four touchdowns.
Missouri (5-2, 2-2) fell from No. 13 to No. 21 after the loss.
Ole Miss will play at No. 18 Texas (4-2, 1-2) on Oct. 24 (6:30 p.m., ABC). Texas, No. 4 Georgia, No. 13 Alabama and No. 6 Indiana all lost on Oct. 17.
