Detroit — The Tigers have signed rookie infielder Kevin McGonigle to an eight-year contract extension worth $150 million guaranteed.
The deal will begin next season and cover 2027 through 2034, taking him through the final five seasons of club control plus his first three years of free agency.
The deal includes contract escalators for the final three seasons that could bring the total value to a maximum of $160 million.
