Another coaching change is coming to Colorado State following the 2025-26 school year.
CSU women’s tennis coach Mai-Ly Tran is leaving the program after five years in charge, the school announced May 29.
Tran is leaving to “pursue other avenues,” according to a news release from CSU.
CSU had a 53-62 record in duals under Tran, going 23-28 in Mountain West play. The 16 winning matches in 2023 under Tran was the most wins in a season for the program and the 15 in 2022 was second-most. CSU reached the MW tournament semifinals twice (it had only happened once previously).
Tran is the second CSU coach to step away in recent weeks after softball coach Jen Fisher announcer her retirement earlier in May.
CSU is officially joining the Pac-12 on July 1 and will have at least three new coaches for the first year in the new league: Football (Jim Mora replacing Jay Norvell), softball and tennis (the latter to hires are yet to be made).
