Stamp Fairtex has regained her winning momentum, and she has her eyes firmly set on a return to the discipline that earned her a place in ONE Championship’s history books.
The former three-sport ONE World Champion secured a hard-fought split-decision victory over two-time WBC Muay Thai World Champion Selina “Teep Queen” Flores in the atomweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Fight Night 47 on Prime Video this past Friday, September 4, live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
It was a closely contested atomweight Muay Thai matchup, but across three rounds, Stamp showed the kind of form that once made her the only fighter in ONE history to hold World Titles in Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA simultaneously.
Body kicks, sharp punches, knees from the clinch, and a spinning attack in the latter stages of the fight reminded the world that the Thai megastar’s toolkit remains as complete as ever. Her striking record now stands at 66-18.
Flores arrived with a distinct physical advantage in height and reach, and she carried the kind of game that can neutralize pressure-based fighters. Stamp recognized the threat before the first bell and made a decision that shaped the entire contest.
Rather than walking her opponent down and playing into Flores’ hands, the Thai star allowed her challenger to come forward and dictated the terms of engagement from there.
Stamp said:
“My game plan was to let her walk to my game plan. Because if I walked her down and pressured her, she is very good [at using] angles. So then [it would have been] her game plan. So I let her walk and walk forward to me.
“I think I won in the first [round] and the second [round], and I think I had a lot of good punches, and a lot of damage. But like I said, the third round, [not enough] action. I wasn’t [active] that much.”
The split decision reflected the closeness of the contest, and while Stamp left Lumpinee Stadium with her hand raised, she was candid about where she stands relative to the level she knows she is capable of reaching. The win was real. The satisfaction, however, was only partial.
For a fighter whose standards are defined by three ONE World Titles across just as many disciplines, anything less than a dominant performance carries its own kind of disappointment.
She said:
“I can say Stamp is back, but just like 80 percent — not 100 percent yet. Because I should take more action.
“I believe in myself that I won this fight. But I was just disappointed in myself, that it’s not three judges, just two judges [giving a split decision]. So I’m happy but still disappointed.”
As for her opponent, Stamp had heard Flores’ pre-fight comments and arrived with her own assessment of how the matchup played out. The respect that defines Stamp’s character remained intact, even as she made her view of the matchup clear.
She said:
“Well, I don’t know if it’s a good fight, because I heard that she said that I would be a terrible fight for her before the fight. But I think she is a terrible fight [for me]. And you know, the respect is still there. I still have respect for her. I’m a fighter, she’s also a fighter.”
Stamp Wants MMA Next And Has A Message For Rodrigues
The Muay Thai win is banked. Now Stamp Fairtex wants to go back to the discipline that produced the most remarkable chapter of her career.
Stamp claimed the ONE Atomweight MMA World Title in 2023, only to suffer an injury in 2024 while preparing for her first title defense. A prolonged rehabilitation forced her to relinquish the belt in 2025, and in her absence, Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga claimed the crown before recently vacating it to embrace motherhood.
The atomweight MMA throne now sits empty, and Stamp has a very specific plan for how she wants to approach reclaiming it.
The Fairtex Training Center product said:
“Yeah, it is still the plan. I think the next fight I want to fight in MMA. So please, [ONE Chairman and CEO] Chatri [Sityodtong] let me fight that game. I can fight anyone, but I think it’s Chihiro [Sawada]. Chihiro, she is very good. So it might be a good fight if I fight with her.”
Adding another dimension to the atomweight MMA picture is the news that reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues has expressed her own desire to compete in MMA.
The Brazilian and Stamp have shared history in Muay Thai, and the prospect of their paths crossing in MMA has generated immediate excitement. Stamp’s message to her is warm, direct, and loaded with competitive intent.
The 28-year-old concluded:
“I just want to say welcome to the MMA world, and yeah, someday we will fight soon. Maybe in MMA, or Muay Thai again. So anyway, I can fight with her under any [rule set].
“I will ask for two fights for MMA, and then I will ask for [a shot at] the belt.”
