In an interview with an X account named Arabia on Sunday, Matthew Judon said he will sign with the 49ers’ practice squad on Monday, with Jeremy Fowler making the news official. Judon can be elevated to the game-day roster three times without penalty; otherwise, a fourth elevation would require a promotion to the active roster. As Fowler notes, the four-time Pro Bowler could be elevated as early as Week 4.

Here’s a quick review of his 2025 campaign
The Dolphins signed Matthew Judon in late August. Judon had a rough 2025 campaign, totaling 19 tackles, a career-low one tackle for loss, three quarterback hits, and 13 pressures, and failed to register a sack for the first time in his career across 14 games and three starts. Miami released him in late December and signed with the Bills’ practice squad. The four-time Pro Bowler appeared in the regular-season finale but recorded no stats.
