Doing anything 1,000 times is crazy. It just shows how consistent, focused, and driven we are. It’s a benchmark unlike any other. Like an 18th or 21st birthday or a 25th wedding anniversary, saying ‘1,000’ adds another level of punch to the accomplishment.
The Baltimore Ravens are well into their 30th season. It started slowly, but that only seemed to add to what’s becoming a fantastic tale. DeAndre Hopkins reaches the 1,000-reception milestone.
DeAndre Hopkins was born to be a fireworks show. He was born two days after July 4th, you know? A native of Clemson, South Carolina, he attended Clemson University, where the Tigers faithful would fill Death Valley (Memorial Stadium) with ‘Nuk’ chants every time he hauled in a reception.
Hopkins caught 206 passes in 39 career games for the Tigers. He’s well past that in his NFL career now.

Every year, Thanksgiving reminds us of what we appreciate. We appreciate DeAndre Hopkins. 13 years into his legendary career, he reached 1,000 career receptions with his first catch in Week 13’s Thanksgiving game.
With that 10-yard reception, WR DeAndre Hopkins became the 18th player in NFL history to record 1,000 career receptions. He also ties Hines Ward for 15th on the all-time receptions list.
