Cam Coleman is the Texas wideout drawing headlines this offseason. He announced a major NIL deal with Nike and joined the company’s Blue Ribbon Elite program. The move follows a busy transfer period. Coleman left Auburn and landed in Austin. He is set to be a key target in Steve Sarkisian’s offense.
The Nike agreement puts Coleman among 16 Longhorn athletes in the initiative. Teammate Colin Simmons is also part of the group. Ann Miller said per On3, “Blue Ribbon Elite brings athletes, schools and Nike together through a partnership rooted in sport, collaboration and athlete voice.”
Athletic director Chris Del Conte called the opportunity “unique, innovative and awesome” for student-athletes.

Coleman’s Texas contract is reported at $2.9 million. That deal already ranked him among the top-paid college athletes. The new Nike partnership will likely raise his market profile. He announced the signing on Instagram. He wrote, “Everything is bigger in Texas, especially with #TeamNIKE.”

On the field, Coleman had 56 catches for 708 yards and five touchdowns in 2025. Across two seasons at Auburn he totaled 93 catches for 1,306 yards and 13 TDs. He was a five-star recruit and was ranked No. 4 overall by Rivals in the 2024 class. Cam first committed to Texas A&M, then reopened recruitment, and chose Auburn on December 1, 2023.
Texas finished 10-3 last season. The Longhorns closed with a 41–27 Citrus Bowl win over Michigan. Quarterback Arch Manning showed late growth. Coleman gives the offense another explosive option. The deal also tightens Nike’s relationship with Texas. No wonder it can open new endorsement paths for other players.
For Coleman, the focus now is on work. He needs to build on his numbers and stay healthy. He also needs to help Texas chase a title. Fans will watch every rep this coming season and expect plays. Expect highlight-reel plays every week.
