The Boston Bruins have been shaking up their lines to find chemistry, and one line appears to have found its groove.
Bruins head coach Marco Sturm put Viktor Arvidsson, Pavel Zacha, and Casey Mittelstadt on the same line, and all three had instant chemistry. On Thursday, the line had success again, as all three players recorded two points in Boston’s 6-1 home win over the Winnipeg Jets.
Following the Bruins’ lopsided win, Arvidsson shared high praise for his line and the chemistry they have.
“I think we have fun together,” Arvidsson said as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “We talk about stuff and joke about stuff on the bench, too. I think that’s the most important thing. That creates chemistry.
“We’re just really connected, and know where each other are, and what the other guy likes to do. It’s just a really good mix of speed, playmaking skills, and people going to the net, too. Being around there and wanting to score.”
Zacha, meanwhile, echoed Arvidsson’s words and praised Mittelstadt for being able to win puck battles and get him the puck.
“Mittelstadt, I think he’s doing a really good job winning his puck battles the last couple of games and passing it to me there,” Zacha said. “He looked at me a little bit when he got the puck and passed it to me. Great play from him.”
With the lopsided win on Thursday, Boston improved to 38-23-3 and is holding onto the top Wild Card spot in the East.
