We’re getting closer to the start of the 2026 NFL Draft than the start of free agency, and the New Orleans Saints are adjusting their plans accordingly. Coaches and scouts have been busy on the pro day circuit. Household names like Cameron Jordan and Taysom Hill are busy mulling their futures.
But there are still a good number of former Saints players waiting for a phone call in free agency. Two of them were taken off the market since we last surveyed the group, with defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard joining the Dallas Cowboys and defensive back Terrell Burgess re-signing with the Saints. That leaves seven players still looking for work in free agency. Here’s the list:
DE Cameron Jordan
- Age: 36
- 2025 snaps: 590 on defense (53.6%), 40 on special teams (9.3%)
- One notable stat: Jordan’s 10.5 sacks were more than he had in the previous two seasons put together (6.0)
TE/QB Taysom Hill
- Age: 35
- 2025 snaps: 210 on offense (18.7%), 47 on special teams (10.9%)
- One notable stat: Hill’s Pro Football Reference rushing success rate (44.2%) was the lowest of his career
WR Dante Pettis
- Age: 30
- 2025 snaps: 114 on offense (10.1%), 53 on special teams (12.3%)
- One notable stat: Pettis led all Saints players in yards per catch (14.1) and yards after the catch per reception (9.6)
CB Michael Davis
- Age: 31
- 2025 snaps:
- One notable stat: Davis was credited with 3 tackles on just 79 special teams coverage reps, but PFF charged him with a pair of missed tackles and he drew a penalty
DB Ugo Amadi
- Age: 28
- 2025 snaps: 9 on defense (0.8%), 114 on special teams (26.5%)
- One notable stat: Amadi has lined up in the slot on 1,648 snaps in his seven-year NFL career, per PFF charting
TE Mason Pline
- Age: 26
- 2025 snaps: 0 on offense (0.0%), 0 on special teams (0.0%)
- One notable stat: Pline has logged more snaps on special teams (19) than offense (14) in two preseasons, having joined the Saints this year after the San Francisco 49ers signed him in 2024
OL Landon Young
- Age: 28
- 2025 snaps: 0 on offense (0.0%), 0 on special teams (0.0%)
- One notable stat: Young has played in more games for the Saints (56) than any other player they have drafted in the sixth round since Fred McAfee (122), their sixth-round choice in the 1991 NFL Draft
