After a successful weekend in Austin, the Oklahoma Sooners climbed to the top of the Softball America and D1Softball polls. OU is back at the top of the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll released on Tuesday as well.
The Sooners earned 20 of a possible 25 first-place votes to take the No. 1 spot in the rankings, followed by Alabama at No. 2, which earned five first-place votes. The Red Raiders fell from the top spot despite taking two of three from Utah over the weekend.
Texas fell just one spot to No. 5 and was replaced by Nebraska, which is now the No. 4 team in the nation.
Oklahoma’s next weekend opponent, Arkansas, remained at No. 6 in the nation, followed by Florida, UCLA, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech, rounding out the top 10.
