Substitute Sandro Kulenovic pounced on a goalkeeping blunder to give Torino a 2-1 win over Udinese, spoiling David Alaba’s first appearance for the Friulians.
Both sides went into the final game of Round 6 on four points. Torino welcomed back Rolando Mandragora after a frustrating international break in which he didn’t get on the pitch for Italy. Udinese had won only once in five and were coming off defeat to Cagliari. Kosta Runjaic started Alaba on the bench after three months without competitive football, while Juan Arizala returned to the squad.
Udinese started brightly, and Oumar Solet headed narrowly wide from an early corner, but Torino struck first on 36 minutes. Che Adams rattled the post with a first-time effort, and Daniel Bragança was on hand to fire home the rebound.
The visitors were level before the break. Jurgen Ekkelenkamp had a shot blocked, then controlled the loose ball and drilled it into the bottom corner. The goal survived a VAR check.

Abate subs pay off as Torino take the three points
Ignazio Abate replaced Ricardo Rodriguez with Ardian Ismajli at half-time, then brought on Nikola Vlasic and Emirhan Ilkhan. Udinese lost James Abankwah to injury, and Pietro Comuzzo headed wide from a good position before Unai Gomez went close at the other end.
Abate’s changes paid off three minutes after Kulenovic came on for Adams. A catastrophic error from Udinese gifted him the chance, and he rolled the ball into the net from close range.
Alaba came off the bench for his debut 20 minutes from time, but Udinese struggled to find a way back. Maduka Okoye saved well from Ilkhan, who was then forced off injured having only come on in the second half.
